Mission

To encourage and equip couples and individuals to develop mentoring relationships with young people for the purpose of helping them to develop life skills, Godly character, and healthy goals.

Who

Shepherd's Connection is focused on the young people of southern Hillsborough County, both in and outside of our church family. We are currently partnering with Hillsborough Kids, holding group events for several girls who are transitioning out of group homes. We are also focusing on single parent young people in our congregation.

Benefits

SC gives young people someone to help them define long and short term goals, someone who encourages them to think positively about themselves, and someone who will just be there for them.

What it Takes

• Be an active listener.
• Show respect for young people's opinions.
• Have a non-judgemental attitude.
• Show and share the love of God.
• Have available time for consistent contact.

All potential shepherds are thorougly interviewed and screened. Anyone desiring to become a shepherd can attend group events without commitment.
